Paypal have done their homework and are satisfied re; our bona fides. It was a bit cumbersome but it is good to know that they check up on possible rip off merchants. Oh well, back to the grind. ha!

Hi folks, we have a complication with Paypal at the moment. They have, quite reasonably, requested that we substantiate our charity status and request a charity registration number which probably exists in America. Because our Incorporated Association directs funds to Rwanda, the Australian Tax Dept. wait a couple of years and given a suitable track record, then give gift tax deductibility status. This may not gel with the American system and our account may remain frozen. If you would like to place an order, please make your choice from the shop menu but don't pay through paypal. If you could e-mail me at jmiddleton45@bigpond.com I will advise you of our bank details so that you can do a direct deposit and I will advise you of the postage cost.

This interruption may only occur for a couple of days, however to be on the safe side it is best to steer clear of Paypal for the time being.

Rest assured that as an Incorporated Association we are subject to audit and my ears are still stinging from the tongue lashing I got to satisfy the auditor in future.

The 7.30 report program on the Coffee Club in December resulted in a great response of orders for coffee and tea which will enable the project to proceed nearly as fast as the partners in Rwanda are able to buy cows and arrange construction of shelters through this year. Thank you very much to all who supported the Rwandans in this way and thank you also for patience and good humour to those who experienced delays in receiving their orders.

The response to the 7.30 Report program aired in December was outstanding. We will be able to continue buying cows in Rwanda as quickly as our partners there are able to effect the purchases and arrange for construction of shelters. So thank you to all who have supported through buying coffee and tea and thank you for the patience of those whose orders were delayed.
